...The approach selected for the present investigation was
qualitative since it allowed a different view of social phenomena
taking into account criteria such as objectivity, validity,
reliability, universality and the generalization of new knowledge
through inference (Cook, Reichardt 1986). It was chosen
because it intended to understand the phenomenon of
Venezuelan migration, and recognize the experiences of the
migrant population that has arrived to Villa de Leyva-Boyacá
and what challenges have been faced with respect to the labor
aspect and how this directly affects the inhabitants of the
municipality, so that the greatest impact regarding this situation
can be established and a critical interpretation of the same... The
technique selected to collect the information in the research
project was the Interview; it is considered to be more effective
than the questionnaire, since it allows obtaining more complete
information. (Amador, 2009).These are selected according to
the necessary information that must be collected to inquire
about the current research topic and thus recognize the different
opinions of Venezuelan migrants regarding the labor issue not
only in times of the pandemic but also in times where they
normally work without no restrictions in the municipality of
Villa de Leyva using Field diary, Unstructured interview and
Workshops as instruments.
Results
Taking into account that the research
qualitative-descriptive, the relevant results found in each
activity were the following, the number one activity resulted in
Venezuelan migrants having several difficulties when migrating
from Venezuela, taking into account that the vast majority of
them decided to migrate together with their families, risking the
difficulties of a new country,activity number two called the
problem tree determined that the central problem of
Venezuelan migration was caused by the economic and political
crisis in Venezuela, causing economic, family and labor
instability.
Activity number three gave as the main result that the majority
of Venezuelan migrants to whom this activity called timeline
was applied agrees that the years where migration occurred the
most was between 2018 and 2019, since many of them waited in
their country of origin in the hope that the situation would
improve, but the lack of food, money and medicine forced them
to migrate to Colombia in the ctivity number 4 and number 5 are
related because the two deal with the short, medium and
long-term life project of Venezuelan migrants and the other
talks about the life history of each of them, finding as aspects
Relevant and important that most Venezuelan migrants have
work, education and family goals in their country of origin,
however they consider that Colombia is a country that has
offered them several opportunities and that if it is not possible to
return to Venezuela they hope to develop each one of its projects
in Colombia.
Discussion
Throughout the project, it was possible to confirm that the main
cause of Venezuelan migration has been the economic and
political factors and that the labor aspect has been one of the
most affected, since the situation of being a migrant makes it
more difficult to have a stable job opportunity that improves the
quality of life of these people, therefore, in the future they want
to return to their country of origin, where they can perform in
what they know how to do and can stabilize economically and
family. Taking into account that Venezuelan migration has
brought various consequences to a country like Colombia, it is
considered that carrying out a project that analyzed the main
aspects that have affected the arrival of Venezuelan migrants to
the municipality of Villa de Leyva is of great importance,
Because many of the inhabitants of said daily consider that a
problem that must be urgently addressed is employment.
Because employment is considered essential for all people
without distinction, however, Venezuelan migrants in relation
to their needs are forced to give their work hours at a lower price
than normal, which is why several Villaleyvanos they are
affected and urgently require solving this problem, since it is the
duty of all people to strive for the quality of life of themselves
and their families.
The quarantine has brought several problems not only in
aspects of health and economy also, it seriously affected the
was labor aspect not only for Colombians but also for Venezuelan
migrants, which is why through the collection of information
with all the parameters established and through digital means,
this research was able to recognize that affectation by not
accessing job opportunities and what they do daily to cope with
the situation despite the difficulties.
