In total five workshops were applied, each with a different and
clear objective. The first activity was aimed at establishing an
introduction to the topic of free time so that the students
could relate to the topic, the next activity had the objective of
encouraging sports at home as an example of the good use of
free time. The third activity was a workshop on interactive
games via ZOOM to also, like the previous activity, give an
example of how that specific time that the students have left
over could be used in a good way. At the end of these two
activities (sports at home and interactive games), specific
interviews were conducted for each activity with each student
to find out if they did these activities in their free time. The
fourth activity was a survey with clear questions to see how
the students were using their free time. And finally, the fifth
activity aimed to draw conclusions through a survey to find
out what students learned from this entire research process.
Results
After the responses of the workshops applied to the students,
it was evident that the students make a bad use of their free
time, even if they believe that they are doing it in a good way.
Most of them most of the time is on their cell phone or their
personal computer; very occasionally they do sports activities
or spend time with their families.
They also learned about the good and bad uses of free time,
and after this they identified whether they were making a bad
or good use of their time, most of them came to the conclusion
that they were doing it in a good way because they were
different activities from the normal ones.
Discussion
This research can have benefits in several aspects, after this
research more workshops can be held so that students can
improve the use of free time, a slightly larger investigation or
with more degrees could be done to demonstrate and
compare results in an institution educational, and thus know
what percentage of students of that institution makes good or
bad use. The results of this research could be shared with the
parents of each student so that parents have greater control
over their children's time, and can generate strategies to
change this use and obtain good results.
Conclusions
It was possible to know what activities students do in their
free times during quarantine, showing that they spend more
time in front of the cell phone or computer, they also perform
sports activities from time to time, do their favorite hobbies
and spend time with their family.
The students recognized when they make good or bad use of
free time, and it was established that the vast majority are
making a bad use of free time, since they use it in things or
activities that do not generate productivity.
The students were presented with different activities to make
good use of their free time; they were presented with activities
such as physical and sports activities, online games to develop
as a team, and different videos to establish how to use their
free time in a good way.

First of all, I want to thank God for allowing me to finish this
degree project in the best way, since it is the last part of my
